What Michael Jackson Meant to One Teenage Kid

            When I heard the news that MJ had died on June 25th, 2009, it was in a text from my brother, who knew what a big Michael Jackson fan I was. Then a few hours later more texts came in asking if I had heard the news. I was very sad and knew that he had given all of himself to his music and I was grateful for having heard it. Though I never met MJ, I felt like I knew him through his music. I always admired his unique dress and musical style and respected him for being comfortable with who he was and what he liked. The world will never see any other performer that could compare to Michael Jackson. Chris Tucker, the star of the Rush Hour movies called him “the greatest entertainer that ever lived.” I would agree. His music will live on forever and he will be missed. Rest in peace, Michael.
