It is estimated that 150 people know the rapist of Katie Price.  These people include the model’s family, Peter Andre, close friends, staff of a production company, staff of a famous red-top English newspaper and several members of the model, businesswoman and latterly author’s film crew and a few top lawyers.

Many clues to the man’s identity are already common knowledge.  He is much older than her.  He is a famous celebrity.  It is also reported that Katie was far too frightened of the alleged rapist to report the incident to the police, though with recent developments, it appears that over the last few months Katie is becoming more courageous. On 16th September 2009 Katie revealed the name on camera.   Lawyers ensured that the footage was not aired and swore all the film crew who were present, about five in all, to secrecy. The Daily Mirror has reported that they know the identity of the alleged rapist and have approached him for his version of events.  The Mirror has said that it cannot print the name for legal reasons.  Cynics reckon that the red-tops editorial team are playing the same game as Katie herself and courting extra publicity by handling the matter in this way.   Katie Price is currently in a jungle being filmed as part of the cast of I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.  She is already making headlines there with revelations about Peter Andre.  Many predict that she will reveal the name there – if she is allowed to stay there long enough and not voted out by Peter Andre fans.

Sordid Affair

The fact is that Katie Price is setting an extremely bad example to young women everywhere and to potential rapists.  Unless she goes to the police and reveals the name and puts the matter right many people, including members of women’s groups, will find it difficult to respect the celebrity.  It is alleged that the alleged rapist has raped in the past.  What will Katie Price do if he does so again in the future?
