Why a Celebrity?

Not us, why them.

As children we all strive to be like the people on TV. For the time being it seems fine not a problem, most times those thoughts are grown out of. But with celebrities and these people we all looked up to becoming younger teenagers seem more apt to emulate them. But many flaws occur when this happens because of the difference in life styles and age.

Young girls follow the image of these size 2 celebrities and become anorexic or take on some other eating disorder. The same goes for young men, there is no double standard here. They see all these famous people out drunk and partying and want to do just that. In doing so they become drunks and also addicted to drugs. For both genders however sex seems to be a large draw.

This problem is usually not showcased by parents,(thank god) however the amount of sexuality emitted by these celebrities is imposed of our young children. We dreamed, yes and some of us tried to live in such a way, but these days it seems to be becoming a much larger problem then we all thought.

This can lead to no good for today’s youth. In many ways someone to look up to is beneficial to a young kid or teenager. But when it is not controlled or monitored by the adults, kids get away with and find new ways to live the way they see. So even though famous people are showcased and put up on pedestals, they are not an influence that should be encouraged or imposed upon flexible young minds. Something need to be done, SOON.
