Why youngsters choose to smoke?

Smoking habit is predominant in young age. Youngster makes this habit to put them in the eye of society. They get relaxed and feel comfortable while smoking. Group conformity is major factor in smoking among youngsters.

Smoking is the most important avoidable health problem in the world. Smoking, however, continues at very high levels, at least among men. So many people are putting their health in danger by smoking. Smoking is like a deadly disease but youths are still feeling proud of smoking. Youngsters smoke due to insecurity. They choose to smoke to get rid of mental stress and other emotional problems. They are fully aware of its harmful effect that tobacco is highly addictive, and people who have smoked for many years show a higher death rate then non-smokers. Smokers lose an average of twenty to twenty five years of their lives compared to most non-smokers. Youths tend to ignore or think they will never get lung cancer or heart problems. Maybe they are thinking they can smoke until they get older, and have kids and a family then stop, but it is not that easy. When people smoke a tobacco product, they inhale the smoke, which contains nicotine as well as over five hundred chemicals.

Since the 1960s smoking issues have captured more intense and enduring interest among so many different segments of our society. However, when such use occurs among the nation’s youth, the nation’s future concerns about potential health risks. . Most young people smoke just to show their power and importance. They smoke eventually to convey the message that they move into adulthood. Some may smoke to adhere to their social group and expand their social circle.

The ravages of youthful tobacco use have received much attention, as they should. It is clear that for some young people smoke significantly and negatively alters their lives and those of their families and communities. According to youth group, smoking relieves their work pressure and mental fatigue. They choose to smoke to concentrate more on their job and some may get success in their career. However, they all agree about its dangerous consequences and always try not to be chain smoker.
