Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year. -The decorations, the shopping, the weather, and most of all the spirit. People seem to be so much more compassionate. And so if you are someone who has the benefit of receiving the gift of compassion during this holiday season perhaps you can assist someone who does not have the privilege of these seasonal joys. If you are unsure of how to help there are many organizations and charities to assist you.
Toys for Tots is one of America’s most popular Christmas charities. Sponsored in part by the Marines and Marine Corps. this program enables children from all over the nation to have at least one toy for Christmas. There are several drop boxes in virtually every city. All you have to do is purchase a toy and leave it in. To find a drop box near you and find out how else you can tribute, you can view the Toys for Tots website www.toysfortots.org.
