Donate to Charity
This article explains the reasons to donate to charity.
Donate To Charity Today!!!! It doesn’t matter if you donate $1 or $1,000,000, because every penny counts. I have an immense passion for donating to charity because I know it helps people that are less fortunate. The charity can be one that you feel a personal connection to or not. I feel strongly about finding a cure for pancreatic cancer. Each time I donate, I feel splendid inside. When you donate a large amount it feels as if you have just saved a life. When I go to donate, I think of the saying “give more than you ever have before.” That saying just keeps pushing me forward.
I love to donate to charity because what if you were that person? Wouldn’t you feel happy if you got a useful item from someone that you didn’t even know? That would put a big old smile on your face. Also, you don’t just donate money. You can also provide your time, food (canned products), clothes, toys, and tons more. I actually donated something a few days ago. I went through all my clothes and put the clothes that were too small in a basket. Then I told my mom to send those clothes to an organization that will distribute them to people that are in need. Also, I have participated in many food drives through school, my temple and more recently, my neighbor. It does not take much effort to participate in a food drive. All you have to do is either buy canned or packaged foods or take something out of your own pantry!
In the future, I plan to continue my efforts to help as many people as possible, because everyone should be generous and give. Whenever you become a Bar or Bat Mitzvah, you are responsible for at least thirteen hours of community service to a charity or organization of your choice. Two years ago my Uncle Alan died of this type of cancer, so we decided to help. Last year, my brother was a Bar Mitzvah so he wrapped gifts for donations at Barnes & Noble. After five days of wrapping gifts, his hands were moving faster than a scared chipmunk. The money he collected went to an organization called, “PANCAN,” which stands for Pancreatic Cancer Action Network. A lot of people just stop the work after their Bar or Bat Mitzvah, but my brother, along with the rest of my family, has continued to do this during the holidays. When I become a Bar Mitzvah, I will continue to dedicate my time and effort`1 to this charity too.
