Freerice and Its New Update
FreeRice is a click-to-donate site that has been very successful at helping to stop world hunger. It has a new update which hopes to attract more visitors.
FreeRice is a website designed to help fight hunger. People can help donate rice by answering questions on the website. For every question answered correctly, FreeRice donates 10 grains of rice to hungry families around the world. There are many different types of questions, from subjects varying from English vocabulary to chemical symbols.
FreeRice is a legitimate site. It is run by the United Nations World Food Programme, and uses money from sponsors to pay for the rice.
This site allows you to improve your smarts, get better grades, write better papers, and basically be more successful in life while donating rice to poor, hungry people. What a deal!

But now, there is a new, beta version of FreeRice. Beta FreeRice includes the option to make an account to save how many grains of rice you donated. You can also join “groups”, which are like teams that donate for a certain reason or whose members share a certain characteristic, such as living in America. And of course, you can make friends and see their progress in donating rice. Since its inception on August 24, 2010, users on Beta FreeRice donated 21 million grains of rice in 10 days!

Many groups have been very successful, namely Guyana – we care, and Fighting Hunger. As of September 2nd, Guyana WC has donated 660 thousand grains, and Fighting Hunger is close behind, with about 509 thousand grains.
Which group you choose to support is totally up to you, but everyone wins if you go on Beta FreeRice or Classic FreeRice!
