Hats Off to McDonalds and Some Interesting Facts
If it was just a hamburger joint would the stock have increased 622% in the last 30 years?
Preetamrai posted this picture of a McDonald’s restaurant taken in Beijing, China.

David Hoffman states in his book Who Knew? the largest McDonalds is in Beijing, China. “It measures more than twenty-eight thousand square feet, seats seven hundred, and has two kitchens and twenty-nine registers.” That is a lot of cha ching!
He also went on to state that one hundred shares of McDonald’s stock selling for $2,250 when first offered in 1965 gained in value to more than $1.4 million thirty years later.
Think about this; McDonalds began as a small hamburger joint. It is not the hamburger that has made McDonald’s arches golden, but something much more intrinsic.
In an article written by Louie Jerome we learn about a huge undertaking made by McDonalds in job training
McDonalds invests more than $1 billion in training yearly and their Hamburger University which is trademarked has over 275,000 graduates worldwide who are eligible for college credits upon completion of their training according to McDonalds.com.
Ronald McDonald Care Mobile is a trademarked program with a fleet of state of the art vehicles delivering medical, dental and education services to underserved children in their own neighborhoods.
Louie also wrote another article: McDonalds Lights Up the Town. In her introduction she writes “McDonald’s is funding a project to turn waste materials and food scraps into heat and light for local areas.” If you read further in her article you will find that this is no small undertaking.

Anne, I am with you on that. In fact much of the fare served up at fast food restaurants was mentioned in my article about foods to avoid. I have found a few healthy items on the menu to purchase because I want to support them.
Happy holidays and God bless.

I learned about the McDonald houses as a nurse and have always had a soft spot in my heart for McDonald’s! The good that they do puts so many other companies to shame. And after all these years, I’m STILL addicted to their Fish Fillet sandwich!
Wonderful article…I hope someone with more computer knowledge sends a copy of this to McDonald’s corporate office!!!
