Missionary to the World

Being a missionary doesn’t always mean that you go out to far away places and teach people in ruling areas about the one true God. Missionaries are performing all around us everyday. You can be a missionary just by donating food to the poor. Missionaries are a part of our everyday lives whether we know it our not

If I were a missionary, I would go to Israel. I would try to teach non-Christians our belief in Jesus Christ. Maybe I could persuade a few to become Christians. Getting them to believe in Christ might solve of the problems in the Middle East. The Hisbola would not want to destroy the country and all the people in it. Peace might resume. I might have a little trouble getting there. First I would get on a plane with friends, priests and volunteers and fly to Israel, find a good spot, and set up churches to pray and worship God in. Then I would get people to make fliers and give them out to people.

I do not have to go somewhere far away to be a missionary. I could just stay here in Ballwin and spread happiness and joy to everyone I meet. Going to a shelter and playing bingo with the homeless people that have the misfortune of being there, as my class did, is the same as going to a distant country and teaching about the ways of God. It is the same with going to the lower grade students in your school and telling them the good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection.

Another way I could be a missionary is to build houses for the poor. I could do this in Central America for people who are homeless. The poor people would then feel good that now they have something they have never had before. This would show them how generous Christian people treat others who have less then them. The people might realize how good Christians are. Then they might become Christians themselves and then they would spread the word of Jesus Christ. Then the people they helped might help someone else. This could go on and on and on. So the little good deed of building houses could set off a chain reaction of spreading Christianity.

Most people think you have to be a priest or a nun to be a missionary. I think any act that helps other people less fortunate is being a missionary for God. There is just an endless list of possibilities in which you can be a missionary to the world. To be a good missionary, you have to spread the word of God by talking about good things Jesus did and also showing people how good Jesus is by doing good deed to help others. I hope everyone can see that doing something to help other people can make the world a better place. As a Christian missionary, I promise to spread the word of God to everyone I meet by doing good deeds.
