A simple search of the charity name will often lead to a lot of information. If you find stories that are not of your taste, then you can choose not to donate.
• Time and Reputation. If a charity is not doing the right thing by the donors and what it is supposed to be helping, then there is little chance it will last very long. On the positive side, there are charities that have been around for a long time, and they have the reputation to match.
