Can Terrorism Ever be Justified?
by Terrorists all over the world call themselves by different names – rebels, freedom fighters, radicals blah blah. The truth is they are all terrorists who spread terror and kill innocent men, women and children and disturb the way of life of the civilized world. They think that by calling themselves by using apparently political correct words like rebels and freedom fighters, their cause is justified. This article shows how these maniacs remain what they are and what they always will be, TERRORISTS.
Since 9/11, the world has never become the same. 9/11 was the world’s worst ever terrorist attack. 2990 lives perished on that very fateful day.
From that day on, everywhere in the world security was tightened. From that day on, the world lived in a constant state of fear. Fear to be killed in a suicide bomb explosion, fear of gunmen at your door, fear to walk outside and the plain fear to live. Terrorists have definitely met one objective, and that was to strike fear and panic among the people. They are definitely successful here. When man is afraid to venture out of his home fearing a terrorist attack, that simply shows how successful terrorists were in instilling the fear in the people’s mind.
There are countless terrorist organizations in the world. Some could be as small as a cell consisting of a few people and some could be as large as an organization like the Al-Qaeda. In the end, they all want just one thing, and that is to instill a sense of fear in the people.
They take up arms, get training, finance, plan and plot various dangerous activities like bombings, fidayeen attacks, cyber-attacks and a lot more. They take their time and plan it in such a way that there are maximum casualties. They focus on being more lethal and deadly. Their aim is to hit as many civilians as possible. They target crowded places and engineer their bombs to kill as many people as possible in one blast.
They apparently do all these for a “cause”. Their causes could vary. There are terrorist rebel groups who try to topple the government and put a new one in its place. Or there is the Jihad groups fighting to get the world rid of all non-Muslims with groups like The Al-Qaeda, The Taliban, Hamas, Hezbollah, Lashkar – e – Taiba, Abu Sayyaf etc. pursuing it.
Their causes as mentioned earlier could be for change of government, their causes could be for monetary benefits or ideological reasons like Jihad. Causes as vague as these are causes for terrorism. Terrorists kill innocent men, women and children to achieve these vague causes. Unbelievable but very true.
To make your demands, you kill innocent people who are not even remotely linked to the cause. Can that be justified? For a dirty cause, you destroy so much property and ruin households of innocent civilians. Is that justified? You are willing to sacrifice your own brothers for such vague causes. How can you possibly do that? How can you possibly justify all these?
One thing one must remember, a terrorist loses his human rights once he points his gun at humanity. You cannot justify the mass murder of people who don’t know about anything. Terrorism can never be justified. Never ever. There are various other ways of getting demands met but killing innocent men, women and children in the most gruesome ways possible is never justified.
