Emotion Rules Supreme in Life
Nothing in life comes close to the importance of emotion, and nothing influences mankind more than emotion does. Emotion is true, it’s independent and individual. Emotion is what makes us live, and it’s what drives us in life, in a world that’s trying to destroy our emotion and tries to confine us to other systems….
Have you asked yourself why mankind has evolved so much but yet remains the same as our ancestors many millenniums ago? Have you asked yourself how the human capacity of reason has evolved so much, but emotion has always, and will always remain the same? Have you noticed how we reach emotional maturity before we even come close to our physical and mental maturity? Have you noticed that life despite its camouflage of lies and deceptions is based solely upon emotion? Have you seen that our lives revolve around relationships, and that its emotion that provides the very backbone of those relationships? Have you noticed that you are constantly under the influence of your emotion? Have you forever been told to suppress your emotion, and yes this includes anger? Have you been made to fear your emotion, and be made to feel guilty for feeling what you feel? Have you asked yourself, how can I have freedom of thought when one doesn’t have absolute freedom to their emotion? How can individual thought be legal if individual emotion is outlawed so that you’re not able to act out upon your emotion? Why is it encouraged that thought gets made into action, but emotion is forever being forced to be confined to the cranium? Why does every collective fear emotion, this includes every workplace, institution, government, and any other social collective? Why should we feel guilty of our emotion? Why does religion despise human emotion, and call our actions based upon our most human emotions, sin? Why does the role of emotion forever get neglected when it comes to education? Why do emotions forever have to be suppressed to please other people? Why can’t you speak out your emotions without being attacked for being true to yourself? And most importantly, why do people fear their own, and each other’s emotions? Do you listen to your emotions?
As you can see, emotion and its direct impact, and meaning upon our life is no small deal. Emotion would have to be right up there with respect, moral, and reason, only above all else. Why’s that you may ask? It’s because everything else in life besides objective reason, is based upon emotion. Mathematics doesn’t rely upon emotion, but its very existence is a result of human emotion, and our effort to understand ourselves better. The reason we want to do anything in life is solely thanks to emotion. Our decision to live life itself is solely down to our emotional state, otherwise suicides would never happen in society. We may be intellectual creatures that have a developed sense of reason, but to mankind reason is cast into the shadow of emotion. Our emotions define how we interpret reason, and what we do with it. It’s by this mentality, that one begins to see that all of our decisions in life, all of our actions should be based upon our understanding of ourselves and our emotion. If we don’t act out our emotion, nor nurture it for what it is, the true mirror of our self as we experience life, we act based upon fear to be true to our self. Emotion is personal, it mirrors our psyche, and it programs our attitude in life. This is a fact of human existence, and it should never be ignored!

A well expressed entry but did you want to mean motivation? I believe motivation rather than emotion is what drives everything.

Re Tolstoy
No I did NOT mean motivation as our ‘drive’ in life. If motivation was our vehicle, then emotion would be its fuel and air. Motivation is merely a product of emotion, as we seek to get further emotional response based upon existing ones. For example I have two major motivational drives in life. 1 is women, and 2, is knowledge. Nothing much else ‘drives’ me. It’s obviously that it’s through self identification and self pride in knowing myself for who I am, that brings to me a spectrum of feelings when it comes to the two things that drive me. If it wasn’t for desired emotion, and further emotional seeking, I wouldn’t consider the two factors as ‘drives’ in the first place! Motivation is a ghost; emotion is as real as the flesh on our bones! I hope that clears up the misunderstanding. I don’t mince my words! Thanks for reading.

Something to think about. Emotions (feelings) can drive us to be negative or positive as well. Emotions can also be misleading. I guess we have to know ourselves.
