Freedom: Its Costs and Its Extent

It explains how freedom is viewed from a different perspective.

How does it feel to be free? What would it cost you to be free? Up to what extent should we exercise our freedom?

All these questions have varied answers as there are lots of situation and circumstances where we could associate the word FREEDOM.

I would like to focus on FEELINGS. More often than not we lie to ourselves of what we truly feel, the end product of which is an overfed EGO and an aching heart. Most of us are very good with what we call defense mechanism which always leads to pretensions and the constant lies. No matter how a lot of people deny it, it is such a heavy load inside. The best way to deal with it is unload and face the truth and just speak the truth to save ones heavily burdened soul.

At first it is pretty difficult most especially when the EGO floats around your head. Come on be realistic, even if you bloat your ego to a level wherein it almost burst, it would never change the fact that you are living in lies.

There is a saying ” The only thing that one should fear is fear itself”. When you are free then you should also be brave as you are considered a FREEDOM advocate. Let go of those feelings which has been bugging you for years which obviously not all of them are  even valid. There are situations wherein we overreact and we think of other people’s possible reaction and have them registered inside our heads and feel embarrassed or guilty about them without even seeking clarification of the real matter. So they remain as hypothetical with intrinsic fear. Which is really a waste of chance, time and energy.

Freedom cost you nothing but just your unique and intrinsic self being free from heavy loads and make you end up with a happy heart and forgiven soul.

We could define freedom within the rational context as being free to express oneself within humane and civilized boundaries. Social norms cannot be used as a boundary because it varies from place to place and the society’s beliefs and understanding, which in a way dictates people on how they should act and classify them as delinquent should they fail to conform with it. Which I find unjust and violating the individuality and uniqueness of each individual.

Be free as long as you hurt no one, be happy while you are living, laugh while you can, love as much as you want as long as it’s a reciprocated one. Sometimes being free doesn’t mean being happy all the time. As there are lots of factors involved to achieve the perfect combination of freedom and happiness, that is the willingness of the people involved and their undying commitment and respect to what they truly feel for each other – The Perfect & Reciprocated LOVE.
