Look, Up in the Sky

Faith is really an unquestioning belief or certainty, gained without the discipline of proof. It is said that once you have faith, anything is possible.

We make the world in our image…we create it and compound the creation constantly. We feed it to our children so that it is perpetuated. But what if we could change everything with one simple choice…deciding that it will be different.

Our inbuilt belief system restricts us, but if we can put it behind us anything is possible. For instance hypnotism lets us put our conscious belief systems aside and accept without question new ones, with dramatic results. Pain no longer exists, bleeding can be stopped, superhuman feats performed.

‘Reality’ is what we make it.

And science is now reaching the same conclusion. According to the latest science our belief system or ‘field of reality’ is perhaps only one of many in existence. The more we find out the less we know. Matter gets more and more complex the more we break it down. More immeasurable…more unknowable!

We are taught to bring reason to bear on everything we don’t understand to ‘make sense’ of it. We can then slot it into our ‘reality’.

It’s perfectly ok for balls of ice to fall from the sky but not frogs or buttons. If a marble rolls into a room an adult will wonder where it came from and who it belongs to, whereas a child will simply observe it and react with pleasure. We are always restricting our ’sense of wonder’ to fit in with our ’sense of reality’.

Let’s be less reasonable and more childlike!

Let’s regain our sense of wonder!
