Monkeys in T-Shirts?

A short article discussing the possibility of clothes disproving evolution.

I feel there are many arguments that disprove evolution but this is one that I have more recently been considering. If we assume it to be true that we did evolve from monkeys and other animals over millions of years, why is it that we wear clothes and animals don‘t?

Perhaps due to changes in climate we lost body hair and so needed warmth but this brings up further questions such as, why haven’t we re-evolved body hair? We now use body hair to express ourselves and state who we are. We have a natural sense of ‘dignity’ and ‘shame’ when choosing what we wear. Perhaps this is because society’s influenced, but why is it then that those people who have never been in touch with Western type societies still choose to cover their ‘private parts’? Why do animals not do the same?

Is it really possible to evolve a sense of dignity along with any other morals and abstract concepts?
