Mystery of Life – The Philosophy Concept
Philosophic speculations and theory of death and life during the transition period between the two world – the world of living and the world of "still not dead yet".
Logos and meaning
Logos and meaning can describe the life’s relationship with the world. They limit the meaning of life. Life-world is understood through its conceptual structure. The distinction between the logos and effect is unclear. Two philosophy tendencies and directions are developed on this thesis – phylosophy of life and phylosophy of death. The first one is objective and sees life as a sense, as an organization object. The second one is subjective and it sees life as survival or entity. Life appears to be a major philosophical problem. Over the millennia two lines to address the problem had formed – mechanicism and vitalism. According the vitalism life is intangible force that organizes living matter. According to mechanicism life is only a form of organization of matter and does not differ qualitatively from non-life.
Incomprehensible death. There is no doubt that every individual wants to live as long as possible, but in all likelihood, if one’s offered immortality they would not accept. Life defines itself to death and only through it. Everyone assumes they have limited time to live on earth and this deadline determines their life course. The nature of death is strictly bond to the nature of life. According to evolutionary theory the meaning of death lies beyond the individual. Resourses of living are limited and only a limited number of population can exist at the same time. Therefore giving birth to new individuals must be balanced by the death of a part of the living population. The theoretical biophysics determines life as a chemical system which is in state of stability far from the thermal equilibrium. The condition of living state is unbalanced and is maintained by a set of complex mechanisms. However, every living system eventually impoverishes and dies. There is only one system that does not die and this is the system of DNA.
Death is irreversible. There are three common states of life – alive stasis, clinical death (reversible) and biological death. According to many phylosophical and religious beliefs during the clinical state of death a person approaches to a different reality, which means death doesn’t necessarily mean disappearance. It’s just a transition to another world. This different world has different space, different time line and different causality. The events “beyond” are somehow bond without time and cause, while at the same time forming a kind of reasonable consistency. The world beyond has also the so called “different sensitivity”, meaning dying people can “hear” and “see”, but none of them ever reported of any smell, taste or tactile senses. The clinical state is beyond speaking and beyond the ordinary conscience. The transition itself has a different morality dimension as well – this is the time for a person to evaluate their lives, to realise the values of separate acts such as good or evil, love or hatred. In such a state it’s very often for the individuals to experience the need of redemtion in case of any harm done in their life.
