Selfless, Kind and Crazy, Let The Games Begin

The question come to light earlier this week as to who am I and how do I expect to suceed in business when all I do is help others suceed; even when they may not want too at first.  I thought long and hard about this question and realised in some ways it was very true. Why am I constantly helping others when history has given me very little help in life myself. 

It is my calling in life to be selfless. I once was given this label by the most unsuspecting person; too this day I am unsure as to if this is something to boast about or actually change? I left my career in the government to help family members; but I have never gone back to my profession? Why many ask? Because I cant change the world in that job. Of course not one person can change the world but together, one person at a time, we can make a difference.

So the role of earthspiritandsoul is the help people I feel compelled to help, one by one. The reward is seeing those people excel. I have watched Richard from XtremejDevelopers finally start to accept his talents for what they are; overcome his self doubt and ignore the negative advice from so called friends; today he excels in his profession and helps others do the same.

My frustration in life is to see the potential of many people just lay dormant or undiscovered mainly due to fear; the fear of failure, or negative input from the world. Why fear failing when to not try is a failure in itself. I also see the negativity in life from friends, family and the world in general; why do people prefer to see people fail than to succeed? To see others succeed puts pressure on yourself to do something with your life. In reality it means nothing but someone you know has done well; but unconsciously we feel inadequate if others seem to make their dreams come true and we don’t.

My dream as a child was just to help others; to parent differently, to be controversial in everything I do. To look at people for who they are and what made them that way. I always thought that there had to be something that happened to people to make them do the things that they do and to behave the way they do. I also believed there was also room to change their destiny. With many lessons learned, I generally still do believe this to be true.
