The Best Part of Life is Living

Stress is a common denominator in “better off dead” situations. Sometimes people tend to unravel while under stress, and end up saying things they don’t really mean, just because things are not going the way they expect them to. For those people the best part of life is usually their fantasy world, because the real world simply does not cooperate the way they believe it should. For people like that, the concept of “hurry up and wait” does not compute. For others however, doing something kind for someone else is a help not only to the beneficiary, but to the benefactor as well.

Life is a most precious gift, something to be enjoyed to the fullest, because it only comes around to you once. Life is also very short, and passes us by much more quickly than we expect it to. It is so much better to simply do our best, enjoy living and be the most loving people we can be. At least that way, we won’t get to the ends of our lives feeling nothing but regret for what could have been, should have been, but wasn’t. It is never too late to start living your life to the fullest, no matter how old you may be right now.

It has been said that the best things in life are free: Love, friendship, peace, joy, life itself. But there is one other thing that should be added to that list….Everlasting life. Earthly life should be lived in such a way as to guarantee eternal life after the Earthly one passes. Heaven is the final destination of the Godly person, and each day should be lived in anticipation of that coming wonderful future. So don’t live your life away in anger and hostility. Don’t be greedy for all the attention and accolades. Don’t try to hoard all the Earthly treasures for yourself. The Bible, I think, says it best: Lay up your treasure in Heaven, for the things of this Earth passeth away. Don’t keep your best treasures in life here on Earth. Keep them up in Heaven, for that is the most secure route to a happily lived life that there ever was.
