The End of an Age

With all the doomsday prophecy that has surrounded us in recent years and the current state of our world, we have to realize that change can be positive.

Ever since the clock struck midnight and the calendar flipped to January 1st, 2000 people have been steeped in end of the world doomsday prophecy. Everywhere you look, in the state of our world you’ll find something that points to another sign of the times. People cite biblical references to wars, natural disasters and dissension in the Middle East as indication of doomsday prophecy.

The next suspected date of impending doom is the famous Mayan Calendar date of December 21st, 2012. All sorts of speculation surrounds this date including the second coming of Jesus, the discovery of time travel, an alien invasion and a cataclysmic event such as a celestial collision to end civilization.

The interesting thing is that the supposed predictions are always of disaster of great magnitude that will end life, as we know it. The 2012 date may very well bear some meaningful significance but it doesn’t necessarily have to be on a negative scale. Even if a major change does occur, it doesn’t have to spell disaster. Some changes are necessary and can have positive effects.

For example, you wouldn’t consider the second coming as a negative event unless you viewed it strictly from the standpoint of sinners being thrown into the fires of hell and if that were the case no one would be left except little children since we’ve all pretty much sinned at one time or another. In that scenario, judgment would be rather swift. On the other hand, God is forgiving so it is doubtful that everyone would be tossed into the lake of fire. Doomsday prophecy can really get your head spinning if you dwell on it long enough.

For just one minute, try to forget all the condemnation doomsday drudgery and look at if from a positive perspective. The end of our world as we know it could be a good thing – an end to war, poverty, hunger, violence, disease. After all, this is the world, as we know it. Our world is moving into the Age of Aquarius. (And yes, it’s more than just an old song.) Among all the doomsday slingers out there, are those who believe we are coming to the end of an age not the end of the world itself. We will move out of the darkness and into the light of a golden age. The human race is evolving to a new level. It’s hard to believe that at times but anything is possible. Change is in the air so sit back and enjoy the ride.

dearest filosofer, the things in the bible ARE true, dont you see, in the bible it talks about wars and it already happening, it talks about natural disasters, and i dont know about you but in colombia, there has been some terrible things going on, many floods, earthg quakes, and its happening in a scaringly maner..

in the bible it also talkes about the currency and money problem, it says that the continents are going to battle the curency and at the end only one currency will stay, and we can see that this is realy happening, i dont know about you but my suspect is that its going to be the euro…..

and you are wrong, God is not comming in the 2012, we dont know that, because in the bible it says, he shall come as thief in the night, and that noy even jesus himself knows when its the day, only GOD knows….

people read the bible instead of listening to man made theories, listen to GODDD…. if you dont believe me, then read the bible yorselfffff and find out……….

be ready people for the ens is near…

and you can be saved, not only children, because that is why jesus died on the cross for us, for or sins, our salvation but we must repent from our sins, and pray to God to guard you from sin everyday, its hard but possible..
