There are Two Types of People in This World, Winners and Losers…

Recently I have been told this comment by a good friend of mine and the first thing that came to mind is what defines a loser and a winner and how to avoid the loser ways and bring back the champions ways. So here is a guide to what is a loser or a winner.

Recently I have been told this comment by a good friend of mine and the first thing that came to mind is what defines a loser and a winner and how to avoid the loser ways and bring back the champions ways. So here is a guide to what is a loser or a winner.

Loser:

1. Loves to blame others: Not only will this make you lose friends and potential life partners but also the lack of responsibility to certain actions can result in people perceiving you as an untrustworthy person.

2. Expects failure: If you expect to fail then why try? Why live? You expectations as a person are lowered and the energy and effort greatly diminished thus success and happiness becomes unattainable.

3. Negative attitude: Being this way turns everything you do into a chore and self-confidence diminishes quickly as your negative attitudes will turn from objects, to people, then to yourself.

4. Lack of self-esteem: Being the first to always put yourself down will lower your potential and greatness thus stopping you from experiencing not just the unavoidable bad but the GOOD.

5. Gossip: Being a gossip is an unattractive and horrible quality that can ruin lives and reputations. Why tarnish someone else’s reputation if you don’t want the same for you.

6. Bystander- being the person quick to point out the wrong or watch the wrong occur doesn’t make you any better than those who commit the wrong deeds.

7. Quick to judge: Being quick to judge without fact is the biggest reason why so many are alone and are disliked intensely. Who is to say you are better than those you judged. Everyone has a story…

8. Procrastinate: “I’ll do it later… I’ll do it tomorrow… I’ll do it next week as it is only due next week… I’ll do it after Marie’s pool party… I’ll do it after this sports game…” why not do it now and avoid the rush?

9. All talk: If you say you are going to do something, do it.

10. Lying: This can lead to major consequences resulting in you losing the trust of those around you and you looking like an idiot.

11. Same thing, different results: One of the major signs of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results.

12. Comparisons: Everything is a comparison. “This girl is prettier than me… that guy earns more money than me… that person is skinner than me” NEWS FLASH!!! There will always be someone smarter than you and prettier than you… Why compare? Why not be the best YOU, you can be?

13. The past rules: Living in the past will prevent you from looking to the future, thus stopping you from being the success you want to be in life.

14. Waiting for the right time: When will be the right time? There isn’t a right time in life only time…

15. Me, me, and me: There are billions of people in this planet with 99.999999999% who don’t even know of your existence.

16. Talker: Other people have opinions too that they wish to share, that could prove beneficial to you in the long run and provide insight into other peoples mind and personality i.e. understanding.

Winners:

1. Listen: They listen and understand allowing other viewpoints to be heard thus learning and improving themselves.

2. Good self-confidence: Never allowing themselves to be ruled by insecurities, thus making them the type of person they want to be.

3. Isn’t ruled by society: Doesn’t look to society to define their character but finds character within themselves.

4. Lives in the future: Looks to the present and the future, realising that the past is gone and the future matters.

5. Goal orientated: Has goals and a plan of action needed to reach these goals.

6. Stands up: Never fears standing up for their beliefs despite judgement.

7. Core morals and values-: Have created a system of morals and values by which they live.

8. Never quick to judge: Gets to know people rather than define people by first appearances.

9. Honesty: Being an honest person and citizen can lead to becoming a person of integrity which many aspire to be like.

10. Never give up: The never say die attitude largely defines a winner as they never allow for failure to rule them but rather learn from the failures that have occurred.

11. Responsibility: Actions have consequences and thus taking responsibility is key, never blame others.

Being a winner or a loser is largely defined by whether you are true to yourself and are the type of person you know yourself could be; as Ghandi once said: “You must be the change you want to see in the world.”
