Where Have I Been?

An article based upon my adventures away from the keyboard and the simple meaning of Life.

Wow! It’s been such a long time since I had myself log into Triond and publish some exciting articles straight from my desktop.

Where have I gone?

I’ve been exploring as usual. There is nothing more interesting to do than to get away from the desk once so often and find oneself immersed in the ocean with nothing around you but the nearest reef to explore.

Or how about going around the garden and picking at the nearest flower to find that it is teeming with life under a microscope? Yes, there are many things to do out there, and people seem to be taking things just a little too serious. That worries me a bit because it implies that life is not worth living for.

Just take this quick exercise for a moment to see what your result would be.

Let’s say that you had to pack up your things at work and give the boss one of your fingers that you use quite often during a football game. Which one of the following answers below best describes your response to this situation:

A. I would never, ever think about doing such a horrible thing.

B. I would never…come to think about it…yes, I would never…wait, hold on.

C. Yeah, I might do it if my wife or husband left me too.

D. Yeah, my boss might not deserve it but I’ll do it anyway. I can make my own way out there.

If you have chosen A, B or C, well, you have your reasons. If you have chosen D though, you are considered a true leader and a creator of your own life. You will never be anything else other than what you decide you want to be.

The most interesting part about this exercise shows that the leaders are the ones that are having the most fun and enjoyment out of life. Why? They never seem to take things too seriously. In fact, it’s all pretense.

If the world were your stage, what would you do?
