WVO Quine: Author of a Post-empiricist Language and Logic Ontology
by W.V.O. Quine wrote in 20th century philosphical areas such as logic, liguistics and epistemology. His work provided much brickwork for a post-empiricist foundation for comprehending the meanings of words and their relationship to the phenomenal world of experience.
Quine seems to consider language and logic as bootstrap phenomenalities that may as well exist compatibly with existentialist subjectivism, yet he do so whilesimultaneously entirely renormalizing nominalism into harmony with natural sciences. Language ontologies are the criterion in which any given universe-set of words and meanings exist. Each ontology, regardless of it being a mathematical Lie or Killing Group in extra-dimensional matrices derived from some historical evolution from Euclid over more than two thousand years, or some kind of Spanglish patois of the Juarez drug cartels and mobster affiliates in Iowa and the Iowan state legislature per chance translating pesos into dollars for investment in junkets to Brazil etc. can have values that are associated with translatable terms with relative values. Language truths values are somewhat circular; the meanings occur in association or explication from other words that in turn would be defined by other words perhaps from another ontology.
Empiricism makes a somewhat naive epistemological premise that words describing qualities or quantities, locations or specific weight of empirical objects, or even of the existence of objects in themselves separable from a unified field description can exist. Instead words used to describe the external world referents cohere in language ontologies associated with the entire phenomenal loop of words and meanings possible… N-ontology.
The point is not especially insignificant. As epistemology is placed by Quine reciprocally within the natural science of psychology and all of science within the philosophical field of epistemology it provides a method for comprehending logically something of the M-Theory cosmology speculations phenomenally as the math and it’s consequences are explained too us non-mathematicians. At the fundamental level cosmological epistemology of the string-membrane cosmology theorists is purely abstract. The associations follow pragmatic constructions or ontologies for comprehending what may be understood of nature at it’s deepest levels.
