10 Reasons to Impeach George W. Bush
There are more than ten but I address the top ten here.
He Stole The 2000 Election From Al Gore
This is one of the most persistent lies in U.S. History. Anyone who has looked at this knows Bush won. He won in the OFFICIAL count which is the most important. If there was impropriety there, why haven’t people been brought up and charged with election fraud. The answer is simple. There wasn’t fraud perpetrated by any Republican.
The butterfly ballot was not Bush’s idea, it was not even a Republican idea, it was created by Democrats running the local elections! The hanging chads were caused by poor maintenance on the equipment, improper instruction of voters and lack of care by poll workers, all supervised by Democrats in the Florida counties. It would be easy to conclude that the Democrats either tried to “throw” the election or they were just plain inept. Actually it is simple, they didn’t astutely spend money to hold an election.
If he had stolen the election that may be an impeachable offense but the crime didn’t happen. It was either the will of the people he be president or it was stupidity and corruption of Democrats in Florida politics.
He Was in the Oil Business – It Is Polluting and a Danger to Our Security
Hmmm. First, is this an impeachable offense? Where in the constitution is this stated or even implied? Let’s look at how we got to where we are with oil. The first oil well was drilled in Titusville, Pennsylvania and for some time all oil drilled in the world in fact came from that area. Oil was found in other places and drilling was done there. Nobody can argue that oil drilling is an environmentally dirty process. As an aside, Zinc mining which is where the Gore family made it’s money is a near environmental disaster even when done right. The Gores only shut it down when it became too costly to run but it still pays royalties every year.
Nobody can argue that burning any fuel including fossil fuel is an environmentally dirty process. But there are realities. Conservation is needed but conservation can only go so far. California is an example. It has the lowest per capita electrical usage in the U. S. primarily due to conservation practices. But California has pretty well tapped all of the “easy” and “cheap” conservation processes and will have to move on to the ones that have less return and cost more. Conservation is right, it is proper, it should be done but it is a part of a valid energy policy, not the whole policy. We need to begin to start phasing out oil but till there are alternatives we have to have oil.

I agree, that whether or not you like Bush, you have to admit he won the election fairly.

I’m confused. You title says 10 reasons to impeach him but you stating reason why he shouldn’t be impeached at all.

So maybe there is no reason to impeach. If not, why all the talk? Easy, because liberals hate him, they hate this country, they hate good, they love evil.

Ok, so maybe the law does not permit Bush to be impeached. It still doesn’t make him a good president. As a president, he destroyed the economy, started a hopeless war, did nothing for health-care or education, couldn’t catch terrorists, wrecked the environment and lied about many of his policies. It’s a shame he cannot get impeached!
As for your argument, I think your reason is flawed on many points. Take the environment. Sure, you cannot impeach a president for not caring about the environment, but it is still the wrong thing to do. I fail to see how Kyoto would be a disaster. There is a big difference between what Kyoto would implicate for the USA and what this administration says it would implicate. Kyoto does not allow a carte blanche for developing countries and yet they still do a whole lot better than the USA. Even Europa, with a bigger economy than the USA pollutes way less. So, I think your argument is nonsense.

Kyoto DOES allow almost carte blanche for developing countries. If we were to zero our emissions the increases of China in the next 5 years would more than offset it. And they could use OLD technology that we no longer use to more than halve that number. Same goes for India and Pakistan together.
You left wingers hate bush because he put Gore (the idiot) out to pasture.
Start by cleaning up your own house. I mean, make your own home environmentally friendly. Set an example. Then, see if you can encourage others to do likewise. The main reason I don’t believe there is an impending environmental disaster is Al Gore’s home and airplane, John Kerry’s fleet of SUV’s….

“Who cares if China pollutes more?”
I do…. We need to apply pressure to have them work on not doing it. Economic sanctions would be a good start. I am not ready for nuking Bejing at this time. Europe is lower for a couple reasons. Piss poor economic growth is the first. The second is they gagged the anti-nuke crowd. France makes 105% of it’s electricity with nukes, that means they EXPORT electricity and they do it with a US reactor design…. Let’s gag Hanoi Jane. (Fonda that is).
Everyone including the US is looking for a way to get off foreign oil. Where do you have your head? There are serous things like DRILL, offshore, Alaska, Montana, etc. There are wild assed schemes that will enrich men like Slim Pickins and his wind farms.
And there are idiots like the Kennedys who have opposed wind farms off the New England coast Because they caused pollution.
The left wing cant get it right no matter what. WHy don;’t they just admit defeat, tehy cant lead, they can;’t think, they are just plain stupid.
