10 Reasons to Impeach George W. Bush

There are more than ten but I address the top ten here.

He Is Trying To End Personal Freedoms By Things Like The Patriot Act

This is one of the catch phrases of the left. But the Patriot Act was created by congress. Admittedly it was a Republican congress but the Democrats there agreed to it and the Democrat congress has extended nearly all of it. If it is as bad as they claim, why? Again, this is steeped in counterproductive political rhetoric. The act has helped prevent more 9/11 type of attacks. Without it we may have been hit. Most of the ones who have been “disadvantaged” by it have been in fact doing things that are questionable at best. The critique here is nothing more than political posturing.

One final thing. There are three reasons for impeachment. They are Treason, Bribery, and other high Crimes and Misdemeanors. Bush has not reached the threshold for it – based on the judgment of the Democrat Congress.

Section 4 – Disqualification

The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors.

What Are These?

Treason – Simply this is giving aid and comfort to the enemy. The members of the legislature have violated this when they have put politics above the good of the country in a time of war.

Bribery – Many of the members of Congress have taken money from men like Michael Moore to subvert their vote. The line between a campaign contribution and a bribe gets very murky here.

High Crimes and Misdemeanors – If we look at impeachment proceedings over the many years this definition is cloudy. But suffice it to say that if Bill Clinton did not cross that line, George W. Bush has not.

I agree, that whether or not you like Bush, you have to admit he won the election fairly.

I’m confused. You title says 10 reasons to impeach him but you stating reason why he shouldn’t be impeached at all.

So maybe there is no reason to impeach. If not, why all the talk? Easy, because liberals hate him, they hate this country, they hate good, they love evil.

Ok, so maybe the law does not permit Bush to be impeached. It still doesn’t make him a good president. As a president, he destroyed the economy, started a hopeless war, did nothing for health-care or education, couldn’t catch terrorists, wrecked the environment and lied about many of his policies. It’s a shame he cannot get impeached!
As for your argument, I think your reason is flawed on many points. Take the environment. Sure, you cannot impeach a president for not caring about the environment, but it is still the wrong thing to do. I fail to see how Kyoto would be a disaster. There is a big difference between what Kyoto would implicate for the USA and what this administration says it would implicate. Kyoto does not allow a carte blanche for developing countries and yet they still do a whole lot better than the USA. Even Europa, with a bigger economy than the USA pollutes way less. So, I think your argument is nonsense.

Kyoto DOES allow almost carte blanche for developing countries. If we were to zero our emissions the increases of China in the next 5 years would more than offset it. And they could use OLD technology that we no longer use to more than halve that number. Same goes for India and Pakistan together.

You left wingers hate bush because he put Gore (the idiot) out to pasture.

Start by cleaning up your own house. I mean, make your own home environmentally friendly. Set an example. Then, see if you can encourage others to do likewise. The main reason I don’t believe there is an impending environmental disaster is Al Gore’s home and airplane, John Kerry’s fleet of SUV’s….

“Who cares if China pollutes more?”

I do…. We need to apply pressure to have them work on not doing it. Economic sanctions would be a good start. I am not ready for nuking Bejing at this time. Europe is lower for a couple reasons. Piss poor economic growth is the first. The second is they gagged the anti-nuke crowd. France makes 105% of it’s electricity with nukes, that means they EXPORT electricity and they do it with a US reactor design…. Let’s gag Hanoi Jane. (Fonda that is).

Everyone including the US is looking for a way to get off foreign oil. Where do you have your head? There are serous things like DRILL, offshore, Alaska, Montana, etc. There are wild assed schemes that will enrich men like Slim Pickins and his wind farms.

And there are idiots like the Kennedys who have opposed wind farms off the New England coast Because they caused pollution.

The left wing cant get it right no matter what. WHy don;’t they just admit defeat, tehy cant lead, they can;’t think, they are just plain stupid.
