Look out world, but the Newt Train is barreling down the road full speed ahead. A republican primary isn’t won or lost in a month’s time, and Newt Gingrich is proof of that. After having his whole campaign walk out on him and being declared virtually dead, Newt is right back in the thick of things.
Ever since Herman Cain had his 15-year old bones fall out of the closet, he’s been on a weekly downward spiral, unable to stop the bleeding. It is looking more and more likely that the Tea Party may be settling in on Newt to replace their earlier messiah, Mitt Romney. Gingrich is now leading in two national primary polls, even though his general election numbers badly trail President Obama’s.
Meanwhile, Michelle Bachmann, Rick Santorum and John Huntsman are still awaiting their turn at the front of the pack.
