Anti-semitism Uses the Golem Legend to Attack Jews
Anti-Semitic scums use "The Golem," a Jewish fable, to promote anti-Semitic and anti-Israel propaganda.
I noticed the anti-Semitism machine, in attacking Israel, have used the golem to further their disgusting aims. We will first go to the NY Times article by Alisa Solomon called “Theater; A Jewish Avenger, A Timely legend.” Alisa Solomon said:
”The Golem” seemed painfully apt: its central concern is the self-destructive consequence of Jews resorting to violence to defend themselves.
The Golem was not to tell Jews,”Don’t defend yourself.” This is simply an anti-Semitic canard. Alisa, get this in your head. Many non-Jews also use violence as well. Look at the IRA and the Mau Mau. They found their countries under British occupation, but still used terrorism killing innocent civilians to free their countries from British rule. Revenge is a human nature not only restricted to Jews. Yes, the Golem as a Jewish tale about the nature of revenge, not only talking about the Jews. Hitler would be happy to read this. So I guess the Jewish heroes who fought for the survivor and freedom of their fellow Jews were like the golem, having self-destrucitve consequences. Hitler would be happy to hear that. Why should the right to use self-defense being allowed only to non-Jews? Alisa Solomon said:
While Israelis, on the other hand, exist amid ever-mounting fears of attack, any effort to find an analogy in ”The Golem” to the current situation requires one to notice that, unlike the Jew-haters of 16th-century Prague, the Palestinians have expressed genuine grievances. Taking the logic further, one confronts the most troubling question that some Israelis and American Jews are beginning to raise: Has the militarily mighty Jewish state become a golem for the 21st century, promising protection but leading to peril?
The answer to that question is no, Alisa. Notice that unlike the golem, Israel doesn’t target innocent civilians, but is attacked constantly by genocidal fascists, who seek to destroy Israel. That was since day one. In fact, both the purity of arms, which is in the IDF doctrine and the IDF’s code of conduct both call on their soldiers not to target innocent civilians [click on the hyperlink for code of conduct to see Israel even has a school training their soldiers not to kill innocent civilians].
