Bill of Rights, Ten Commandments, State Codes and the US Constitution: Where to Begin?

All through out history the United States Democracy system has been in place! It has constantly and very persistently evolved over time, year after year, decade after decade! Into a very enormous complex compilation of some of the most detailed literary work man has ever created! In my opinion of course, and I’m sure there are many who would agree.

Of course when the US constitution was written back in the late 1700’s a window was left open for change, and throughout recorded history many revisions and amendments have been added to the treasured original document. Thus triggering a need for individual states to amend and adopt new laws, or commonly referred to as State Codes. Each year at least in my home State of Texas the legislature meets to propose and adopt new laws that are written into the State’s Code each year. Each state has a set of codes that are very complex and may contradict the States constitution, if read very closely by even the most educated law student, professor, scientist, or any ordinary citizen such as myself. Although great care is given to protect the values of the constitution there appears to be no end to the persistent effort’s of law makers to govern our country, understandably! but make no mistake it has been the system throughout history! And at least I think I’m not mistaken, it is very complex!

Where is this going you may be wondering? I can only say this! You Tell Me! I doubt seriously that anyone can ever fully understand the law or the complex legal system! Whether it is the US code, or each individual State’s Code, they seem to change each year to fit a particular group of politicians or special interests group. And to actually sit down to read an individual State’s code or the US Code in its entirety and fully grasp its meaning would take some time, of which most Americans don’t seem to have a lot of. So can, should, or does anyone actually know all of the laws and codes that apply as an American, it is highly unlikely!!

Where to Begin to fully understand it; this Question should raise some interest but many are not going to like the answer unless of course you are willing to dedicate most if not all of you’re spare time to reading. The answer is most likely at a university that specializes in crafting together programs that teach aspects of the Constitution, Bill of Rights, The Declaration of Independence, or what about individual State codes, or the US Code book, it’s highly unlikely that these are taught in there entirety! Due to the complexity, and sheer volume of pages that each contain. So of course! And not to mention, just in case you’re wondering; and haven’t looked at what it cost’s to attend one of these university’s that specializes in this matter! I ask; Where to Begin? Perhaps Faith in our Government is enough, or faith in our local representative to voice our concern to Congress each year is enough. Either way there is nothing so insurmountable in a literary since then our complex, configured, perhaps a set of rules that we live by, and, or are governed by in the United States.

Are we teaching values in our children one might be concerned to ask, and with great reason to be concerned! For the laws in this country are insurmountable, and to ever really fully grasp and understand what each means to an individual seems to be the biggest burden or in better words the biggest responsibility we shall ever have! What happens when the power of the law falls into the wrong hands? Well, I can only say this! God help us all we are here now and we have are values! Don’t we!?
