Camelot Loses Another Member
The passing of Senator Kennedy has the country mourning.
Senator Kennedy passed away last night Tuesday August 25, 2009 from brain cancer at his home in Hyannis Port Massachusetts. He was 77 years old. His cancer had been diagnosed back in May of 2008.
As a Democrat he has worked heard on health care reform among many other issues and also The President had his endorsements last year during the presidential race.
A very wise man Kennedy always found time for new candidates and people in general. Camelot once more has tragedy within its realm.

President Obama said he was heart broken to hear of Kennedy’s death as are many others, especially those in Massachusetts. This morning all news channels on television and also radio were and continue to broadcast this news.
Senator Kennedy loved to sail and when at his home in Hyannis Port that’s what he spent a lot of time doing. Those who lived there saw him often on his boat and always he had a smile on his face. Even after learning the news of his cancer he still somehow got out there and sailed.
Massachusetts will miss him tremendously as he fought for many things in that state. The Kennedy family is so popular there and still the name remains on the top of the list.

Camelot as the family has been called has lost many of its members with his sister Eunice passing away on August 11, 2009. With his failing health then he did not attend the funeral. The Kennedy family has been called Americans Royal family and will remain that way in the history of time.
Although many hurdles he climbed one of his most remembered feats was the Immigration Reform act back in 1965. Making way for new immigrants from Asia, Africa, and Central America among others that before then was restricted by US policy.
Running for President just once and being defeated by Jimmy Carter he settled in to being a very active Senator in Washington. Holding the record for keeping his seat in office for 47 years. He made a difference in many peoples lives today and many of those in the past. A well liked Senator and man.

While many young relatives wait in the wings, this could end a dynasty. Thanks for your well written article. I am, and have been, a life long conservative Republican who notes the passing of “Uncle Teddy” with sadness and agree with those who refer to him as the “lion.” He was a politician who knew how to do his job well.

Great write up Linda! That is so sad that he passed away and so soon after his sister. My heart really goes out to the Kennedy family. They are really being dealt with hard blows lately.

Good job Linda,
My first memory was of his brother Jack\’s sad death,
I remember also Bobby\’s death and my father being so shaken he came home from work,
I only heard about Teddy tonight on Primetime and it came as sad news.
The Kennedys did a lot for America and the world In my opinion.
