Change

Adjusting to life changes.

The world in which we live in today has faced multitude of change. Changes of war, racism, and how children, are raised within a free world society. The question is how much has really changed in today’s society.

Over fifty years ago America’s military forces were storming the beaches of Normandy, to fight against the destructive forces of one Adolf Hitler and his followers who supported and believed in inequality of the Jews. In today’s free world, military forces are fighting against insurgents who continue to target within the infrastructure of the Islamic and Muslim culture, and against the American multi-national forces.

Forty years ago a young man named Martin Luther King marched across the state lines and stood on Washington steps and proclaimed equal treatment for all races, the right to speak without fear of reprisal in which they believe in. The era of the civil rights movement created a need for change. The laws of Jim Crow of the south, were laws that no man or woman should have stood for in the treatment of human beings.

America in all her dignified glory represents freedom of choice, freedom to vote, and freedom to raise our children in a world free of racism. When one continues to delve beneath the surface of what America truly is or has become, what is it that we want to represent and believe in to the global world.

When we listen to or read what journalist have exposed viewing audiences to, the question one tends to ask is all okay in this world called America. What are the positive we see and what are the negative factors that continue to plaque this country? There are people within all corners of this world that have impacted and made a difference to change attitudes and beliefs of what is immoral, unethical, and injustices for all. Brown versus the board of Education was uplifting for all classes of race. How can one belief that any one class or race should have inequality education. But when we look at our school system and witness the lack of in certain school district we are appalled at our government and the people who are in charge of our public and private school system.

No child left behind instilled by our Body government and Head chief in charge President George Bush, was prolific. No child left behind ensured that all children received far and equal educational treatment from our state funded schools. Far to long Americans have continue to struggle against the fight for freedoms right. We want better opportunities for our children than what past generation has had. The question then becomes how get there and what do we as a nation need to stop doing and finding resolution for what we are fighting for.

Over two-thousand years ago a man named Jesus walked this world and preached his heavenly father words. People living during Jesus time on earth was fearful and resistant to the changes he spoke about, just like people living in today’s world. They didn’t want to support what he was speaking out against and for. Fear is an emotion that can control ones way of thinking. When we hold on to fear, we cannot see past the darkness that inbounds the mind. The strike of a match can light a flame. The spark of anger can create a mob of people fighting against what is seen as injustices within this society.

The injustice and inhuman treatment of Rodney King being brutalized by the Los Angeles police department sparked a race riot that made people stop and think about how we as a nation think and feel about what we see and our way of thinking. Some conflicts can be resolved, while others may take years to resolve. Racism is one conflict that will continue to challenge everyone. Today’s society may feel as if they are ready for the changes that our political candidates are addressing on the democratic and republican parties and people interest.

If voters elect the democratic candidate the nation will be holding a collective breath just to see what changes will be made and what will stay the same. If voters elect the republican candidate the nation will not hold its breath, but get on with living with the same changes that were in effect by the previous leader. No matter what party of interest is elected, we the people need to understand that who we vote for will do the best they can with the changes they addressed, in the best interest of the people and generations to come.

Freedom is a wonderful thing…until it starts being abused. That time has come in the USA. Every single ethnic group wants and demands something different. Everyone who comes to this great country wants to bring their old ethnic cultures and they expect our govt and our people to adjust to their ways. Would they change their ways to accommodate an American in their country? Highly doubtful. Humongous and I mean HUMONGOUS strides have been made in race relations in this country but to some, that’s not enough. They want to be given everything and they don’t care to actually earn it. They feel entitled for some reason or another. The real and true American people are the ones who can face diversity eye to eye and know that their friends and neighbors are going to stand by them as they would for those same friends and neighbors, regardless of race. They don’t demand that the government of the land hand them everything. It should not be that way. The govt is there to help but not to be everything to everyone. People need to stand on their own two feet and find a way to make things work instead of demanding the govt do everything for them. THAT is what America is about. Too many people have taken advantage of the country and the FREESOM that it offers. Freedom is a wonderful thing when it’s used appropriately. We’re going to freedom ourselves out of a country if we don’t quit pointing fingers, holding out our greedy hands and start helping each other instead. What people don’t understand or even care to understand is that when populations increase as fast as ours has in the US, there is a huge drain on the economic infrastructure, especially when so many come in and take and don’t pay taxes or actually put back any part of what they’ve taken away. When our govt so unwisely supports these types, they are taking away from and offending those of us who do put back into the system and don’t take near as much as those who will not put back. If we don’t get this straight, we’re going to collapse as a society and then what? Is that what you want? If so, I doubt that you will like the kind of “freedom” that brings about.
