Civil War II
We ask for diversity, but we shun it.
The views and opinions depicted in this writing hold no reference to my racial preference or lack there of.
I personally feel that this country (USA) is on the verge of a civil war. There are several reasons I have to back this hypothesis; I will discuss two of them. The first one is the ever increasing role that the government plays in our daily lives. Secondly, I will touch on the overpopulation of this country.
It is inevitable that, we, the American People will grow tired of our government’s skyrocketing interest in our daily lives. It’s pretty sad when a simple guideline such as “reasonable cause” is slightly adjusted to “just reason”. I would like to use an example that I witnessed on a television show. I use this example only because a close friend of mine was forced into a very similar situation. An investor of real estate is spotted in a “white neighborhood”; only because of his skin color is he approached for being a “suspicious character”.
The guy in the neighborhood was African American and was only checking out a home that he was contemplating purchasing as an investment property. The police officer proceeds to ask him for identification and the man simply asks why only to find himself being arrested moments later. The crime he committed: “Being black in a white neighborhood”!
My second theory is that of the Hispanic population “taking” the jobs of the Americans. All I hear lately is “oh, they stole our jobs”. In reality it’s the vast majority of lazy, bourgeois Americans that simply won’t work these jobs that are supposedly being stolen from them. They seem to project an image that these jobs are beneath them yet complain when they watch the person (whom they hired in the first place) laboring away at their landscaping.
Sooner or later we are all going to fall victim to racial stereotyping and find no other way than violence to solve our differences (that really don’t exist). As a nation we all fought for the diversity that exists now and all we can do to show our appreciation is complain.
America is crammed with hypocrisy and greed and until we learn to curb, better yet, diminish these negative attributes we will continue to be on the brink of civil war. My philosophy on stopping these behaviors is that America (and especially the whole world) must cease the ethnocentrism, racism, and blatant ignorance of any other way than our own.

As this is a place for writers, I find it truly strange that you have deleted my comment…
As a “writer” are you not ashamed to be an actual ‘book-burner’?
Young folks such as yourself do worry me. Is any remark not totally reinforcing to your inflated sense of self-worth, so debilitating to you that you have to delete it – cannot handle it. Heather, this is truly sad, and I hope that one day you get well…

Why would I delete your comments? That would be pretty cowardly of me. Not that its warranted, but I can give you my word- I did not “burn books”. Your opinion (nor anyone elses) can pahse me enough for me to even think about wasting my time w/ deleting comments. Actually, its quite the opposie, I very much enjoy other peoples’ perspectives & would encourage you to repost your comment, so that everyone can read it & see how great a “writer” you are, but that’s not what this is about is it. Your simply trying to learn me on proper constructive criticism etiquette.
…input greatly appreciated,
