Congress in Action- Our Elected Gollums

Have you taken the time in your busy day to notice the longer our elected officials are in congress the more they start to resemble Gollum. You know who I am talking about; The creature introduced to us by J.R.R. Tolkien in “The Hobbit”. The slimy, bug eyed, lying creature that ranted about his precious.

Could it be our elected and oppointed officials become so obsessed with the own “Percious” or “Power” it actually starts to change their physical appearance. A handful of our government “servants” already resemble Gollum to the point where it is uncanny.

They are the ones with the bug eyes, slacken jowls and pasty skin. You can almost smell the stench of rotten fish and lies coming through your television set as they try to convince us they are doing what is best for our country and for our benefit. Not because of their “Precious”!

Many groups have been fighting for “term limits” for members of congress for sometime. With so many of our congress members and their favorite appointees morphing into Gollums, I have become convinced it is a idea thats time has come. Not only for the benefit of our country, but for the poor, desperate Smeagols caught in the grip of their “Precious”!
