Explaining Socialism

If capitalism is so bad, take a look at the alternatives. One alternative is socialism.

Socialism:a political theory or system in which the means of production and distribution are controlled by the people and operated according to equity and fairness rather than market principles. “Encarta Dictionary Internet”

Socialism: any of various social systems based on shared or government ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods. “Merriam-Webster Dictionary 2004”

Socialism is a social and political system in which goods, services, production, capital gain, land, buildings, tools, capital, etc., are said to be owned by the people for a more equal distribution. However, what is not identified is the distributor of the, “equity and fairness”, nor the central core of, “government ownership and administration”.

It does not require a college education to observe the injustices applied by the “people” within government, and operating government for their own protection, advancements and prosperity to identify its injustices. The idea of government owned and administered, or socialism is a system of smoke and mirrors allowing the very few, and privileged to control the many.

Many who espouse this type of social system are devout, “Fabian Socialist”. This means, they are part of a group who believe only the very rich, and very few, should have the right to control the lives of all less fortunate.

Countries such as France, Germany and Russia, have long histories showing the consequences of socialist thinking, and socialist governments. The socialist mentality has been exported worldwide  through educational exchanges, political exchanges, and secret organizations. When socialism is peeled back like an onion, one finds rot and destruction of creativity for the individual, and promotion of “group think” for the benefit of the ruling party and governmental system. This is at its core.

Though Capitalism may not be perfect, it lacks the deception of Socialism, and its like. A society based on capitalism makes no pretense of promoting fairness and equality. In a capitalist system you learn early; if you do not work, you do not eat”. This promotes a desire for production primarily for ones own welfare, and welfare of their family and community. In this system charity is not expected, or demanded, but offered to those needing a hand up.

Capitalism operates in a free market environment, ownership of private property, and it is based on supply and demand. This system is often undermined by foreign interest, socialist individuals, and those seeking to acquire the “American Dream” and major profits, at the expense of others. They are constantly seeking new ways to undermine the capitalist system with the promise of better replacement. When challenged, they are hard pressed to identify a country with more people owning private property, privates business, exercising personal responsibility, and facing a world of liberty seeking foreigners willing to risk life and limb for entry into the UNITED STATES, rather than an exit.
