Four More Carter Myths on the Arab-Israeli Conflict
This is more of the myths on the Arab-Israeli conflict from one of America’s most incompetent president Jimmy Carter.
Jimmy Carter’s analysis of the Arab-Israeli conflict is more false than a fairy tale. It is filled with false claims that twist the Arab-Israeli on its head, where Israel is at fault instead of the victim of an Arab Nazi war declared on it. The false claims made by Carter is commonly made by the Pallywood industry as well as apologists for terrorists like Hamas and Hezbollah. Leading the Pallywood propaganda effort are the biggest apologists for anti-Israel terrorists Noam Chomsky and Norman Finkelstein. They are some the biggest anti-Israel pro-terrorist propagandists.
Now, I will focus on four more myths from the Pallywood leftist propagandist Jimmy carter. The four myths that I chose to refute are here. Here are four more myths:
Myth #5
“Withdrawal to the 1967 border as specified in UN resolution 242…” [Palestine: Peace not Apartheid page 215]
Truth
UN Resolution 242 does not call for Israel to return to the 1967 borders. It was made after Israel’s surprise victory against the Arab Nazi-like coalition led by Nasser’s Egypt, which sought to eliminate Israel and which sought to start huge amounts of bloodshed on Israel’s Jewish majority. The purpose of it was to get peace in the Middle East, between Israel and the Arabs. However, it did not say 1967 borders. What resolution 242 says is “Withdrawal of Israeli armed forces from territories occupied in the recent conflict.”
However, Resolution 242 also calls for “Termination of all claims or states of belligerency and respect for and acknowledgement of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of every State in the area and their right to live in peace within secure and recognized boundaries free from threats or acts of force.”
What the Pallywood propagandists and the Arab states do is to focus on and distort the part calling for the “Withdrawal of Israeli armed forces from territories occupied in the recent conflict.” The Arab states claimed that it called on Israel to unconditionally return to the 1967 borders, while ignoring the part calling for the “Termination of all claims or states of belligerency and respect for and acknowledgment of the sovereignty, territorial integrity and political independence of every State in the area and their right to live in peace within secure and recognized boundaries free from threats or acts of force.” The latter calls for the Arab states to recognize Israel’s right to exist. The Arab states claimed that they accepted it, but still refused to recognize Israel’s right to exist. The Arab states had their distorted interpretation of the resolution. that distorted interpretation was adopted by the Pallywood propaganda machine in order to condemn Israel. The latter is simply an inconvenience to the Arab states and the Pallywood propaganda machine, since it puts their distorted interpretation on its head. The Pallywood propaganda machine claims that Israel rejected the resolution, when Israel actually accepted it, but with the correct interpretation of the resolution.
