Globalism and What It Means to Americans
America at the mercy of other nations.
I remember watching a speech made by George Bush Senior during his presidency in which he mentioned his vision of the One World Order. In that speech he alluded to a new era in which the global community would supposedly benefit from economic, political, and military stability. It sounded like an impressive concept if only in theory. Supposedly all nations of the world would be united in a peace loving way that had never existed in the history of mankind. How Biblical. The time of that public dissertation was during the early nineties. That was the pre Gulf War era, the pre-OKlahoma Bombing Disaster, the pre-World Trade Center Bombing in 1993, the pre-Waco Branch Dividians Incident, and of course this was also in advance of our infamous 9/11 tragedy. Even the announcement of the global warming debacle was preceded by this seeming speech that Bush Senior made about the prospect of global prosperity and a one world order.
There has been a lot of water that has passed under the bridge since those seeming prophetic words were expressed. Along with the worst tragedies ever to be suffered by the American people during that juncture, the words of former CIA Director and President George Bush seem to flutter meaninglessly to the ground. In actuality though, the push for globalism goes on. Despite the seemingly noble aspirations of this concept it is quite complex and potentially disastrous for American interests. A question of morality must inevitably be raised in all this as well as the darker questions of who may really be at the heart of this political agenda.
Take a look at the billions of dollars that the US must funnel into the IMF to support United Nation charities and causes. Think about the financial role that our country has played in providing a gigantic facility for representatives of the members of the United Nations right here on our own soil. It is here that we enable these ambassadors of nations who often contest our international policies, to meet in such a lavish forum. At the recently remodeled UN building our enemies and allies hash out many issues worldwide under the diplomatic immunity afforded to them by the United States of America.
Proponents of Globalism want the jurisdiction of US Courts to be under the purview of the United Nations world courts. Our senators and congressmen have already voted on allowing UN oversight on American domestic elections. US waterways such as ports and river ways are already under the jurisdiction of the international maritime laws and subject to the UN. The question of the presence of UN troops on US soil has been hotly debated by many Christian Church organizations which see this as another step bringing us closer to an evil fascist world order. Vice president, Joe Biden has been pushing legislation of the World Poverty Act which would allocate as much as 8% of the US GNP toward the United Nations. In these financially harrowing times, how much more should Americans have to suffer in taxation so that the rest of the world is aided?
