Heath Care Debacle
Americans are waking up.We aren’t overly impressed with any of the health care reform bills. Why doesn’t the current administration seem to notice? We may as well ask the emperor where his clothes are.
I found it interesting to watch the president’s town hall meeting a few days ago. It was interesting to see exactly how he is handling the slide of himself and his fellow ideologues into increasing disfavor with more and more American citizens.
He allowed a child to ask a question which in itself isn’t bad but that child’s mother has been an ardent supporter of the president since he began his campaign. Not only that, he actually had to make it clear that he, “wouldn’t pull the plug on grandma,” in response to Sarah Palin’s Facebook comments concerning “death panels.” The only problem with promising to not pull the plug on grandma is that Sarah Palin again called out the president by answering his argument from the town hall meeting on her facebook page. With quotes from the actual bill which most of our esteemed congressman and senators have not read she pretty much solidifies her case on the bill’s “end of life care” multiple sections.
The fact of the matter is the Community Organizer in Chief has favored a “single payer” plan from the beginning.
That video is from 2003 or 2004. Why is he saying now that this isn’t what he wants? Why is he saying that there won’t be a rationing of health care when it is clear that one of his advisers, Dr. Ezekial Rahm (brother to Obama’s chief of staff) says that the health care bill should give the preponderance of available health care to an age bracket of 15 years to 40 years old? That suggest to me that my own son, who is soon to be 3 years of age, won’t be able to get treated if he contracts a deadly condition or disease. My mother who has neck problems may not be able to get treated under this plan because she is 52 years of age.
It seems to me that the president just doesn’t seem to get it.
I am proud that America is waking up and for the first time in a very long time, we are taking a very good look at what our government is doing. I know some our public servants in congress have decided to stop all town hall meetings concerning health care. They say it is because of the irrationality of their constituents. I say it is because they are cowards and do not have the backbone to stand in front of those that elected them and tell them why their fellow politicians insist on trying to find a way to pass this horrible legislation. They do not want to answer to us and they haven’t had to for around a century or so, “We the People,” haven’t made them. They should be afraid for their jobs, they are systematically finding ways to destroy everything our country has stood for since its inception.
When November of 2010 arrives I hope Americans will go to the polls and put people in office who want to serve instead of dictate. Thats was the intent of the founding fathers, that holding government office should be an act of service, not a career.
