Home of the Free and Home of the Flag Burners
Are we really free to burn?
If flag burners were smart enough, they would see that there is many better ways to get the attention they want. Marin Luther King made his point without harming anything, and he got positive attention. So did Gandhi. They were rewarded for their non-violence while protesting. Flag burners just mostly get negative attention, and nobody really pays attention to what they were trying to make a point of anyway.
Should it be illegal? I think it should. Flag burners just promote more violence than is needed. Yes, they have freedom of speech, and yes it’s just a piece of cloth. But is burning a flag freedom of speech? No, its selfish people’s way of making their point across in a very negative, non-American way.

“what’s next? Murder? Kidnapping? Abortions”- lolfail. You make it sound like they haven’t happened yet.
As for the importance you placed on the flag at the beginning- July 4? lolfail again, that was long after it started. Most intellectuals regret the Revolution, because the U.S. is choked with breuocracy and people in Britan actually get it better than Americans do. “If flag burners were smart enough”- yeah. right.
I don’t actually burn flags- I’m not an extremist whackadoo- but I realize that those who do have their reasons. They would do it if they had the freedom you speak of or not. That’s not non-American, that’s the REAL American way. Govt. just wants us to think otherwise- that we’re all happy and we love them.

When I said Murder, Kidnapping, such and such, I meant that all of these could take place and be excused by the freedom of speech line. Seriously, if people can get burning our flag, from freedom of speech, that stuff could become possible through the line too.
Yes, the flag was not made yet during the Revolution. But what the flag stands for is what people during the revolution were fighting for: True Freedom. NOT the freedom to be disrespectful and rude anyway they please, to be free from IMPORTANT things, like unfair taxes. And if most intelects regret the Revolution, they aren’t really thinking, because these so-called “intelects” wouldn’t be here without the brave men who fought for their REAL rights. And yes, i meant if flag burners were smarter. Did you read the paragraph to come?
Burning a flag IS non-american, nomatter which way you slice it. If you dont like one thing America is doing, you will not disrescept everything America has done for you so far. And really, at this point, if you dont find the flag burning disrespectful?
Thats a heart issue now, isn’t it?
