Huckabee Will Not Run
by Huckabee has chosen not to run. Did he make the right decision?
Mike Huckabee announced tonight that he will not seek the 2012 Republican nomination for President. Huckabee was considered to be one of the favorites to win the nomination should he have chosen to run. I think he would have been a serious contender. His natural ability to communicate served him well during the 2008 campaign and would have undoubtedly done the same in the upcoming campaign. But, in the end Huckabee chose a different route. He figured he would be more effective in his current role of TV and radio commentator as well as featured speaker.
Now we must wonder if Huckabee made the right decision. Will he do more good in his current roles? Who will his supporters shift to? Will he endorse anyone? I don’t know the answers to these questions but those candidates that are running will certainly be seeking Huckabee’s endorsement and will be courting his supporters.
