I agree. I didn't before. I few months ago I wanted Mitt Romney to be in office more then anything...but now I see that I like Huckabee much better. no matter what anyone says; Obama is only getting votes because he's black. and Hillary because she's a commie and a woman. those two are most likely going to team up later on in this race. the best ticket for us Republicans is this;
Huckabee
Romney 08
it sounds as beautiful as it is. the I reason I stopped liking Romney as much as I did was because of his dirty tactics in Iowa. so many attack ads. Huckabee is more of a human being and a true american. I can't wait for that day when Mike Huckabee and Mitt Romney walk into the white house together and take the nation to all new hights!

I'd question why Ron Paul is NOT doing well in his own state of Texas, yet Huckabee is 1st in the polls in Texas. Mike Huckabee is also 1st in Arkansas, his own home state.

Hmnnn...THAT says something (among other things, that Ron Paul not very well liked and/or didn't do too much to be noted in his own state).

On the other hand, here's what Texas is saying about Mike Huckabee:

“Many Republican voters are dissatisfied with the GOP presidential candidates this year. We share that frustration. But one of these men is going to be the party's nominee. Of this field, Mike Huckabee is the best choice.”

And…

“Mr. Huckabee established a respectable record of fiscal responsibility in Arkansas. Rather than run up deficits, he backed raising taxes to pay for needed infrastructure, health care and education. That's called prudence, and it was once a Republican virtue."

“And he is one social conservative who's acutely aware of the call to racial healing. In 1997, when Little Rock Central High commemorated integration's 40th anniversary, Gov. Huckabee delivered a magnificent speech about race, justice and reconciliation that left many in the audience weeping.”

“It was a profound and profoundly moving address, and it revealed an unusual gift for leadership. Plain-spoken and eloquent, Mr. Huckabee strikes us as decent, principled and empathetic to the views and concerns of others – an antidote to the power-mad partisanship that has led U.S. politics to a dispiriting standstill.”

“A chief executive's core foreign-policy convictions matter most, and on those, Mr. Huckabee is a standard conservative.”

“AMERICA NEEDS A CLEAN BREAK FROM THE BITTER POLITICS OF THE RECENT PAST. FROM THE RIGHT, MIKE HUCKABEE, A PROGRESSIVE CONSERVATIVE WITH A PASTOR'S HEART, CAN DELIVER."
Robin,

I have been turned off to Ron Paul completely by the negativity, derogatory belittling, and guerrilla tactics that some of Mr. Paul's supporters use. This is the most significant contrast between Mr. Paul's campaign and Mr. Huckabee's campaign. It is presumptuous of you to assume that I made my decisions blindly.

Mike Huckabee will never become our next President, if there really is a God.
It scares me to think how blind and naive Americans are - giving their blind support to this hypocrite, opportunistic and manipulative politician. I think it's shameful how he covered up for his fat redneck son who tortured that poor sickly dog. That kid (man now) scares me and his 'Pastor' father scares me too! Wake up and realize that Dr. Ron Paul is the real deal, a true Statesman with pristine character! At least Dr.Paul doesn't need to wear his faith on his sleeve the way Huckleberry does.

Don't know if he will win, I think it's the democrats year in 2008. But Governor Huckabee is a breath of fresh air and he
