John Edwards and Rielle Hunter: The Sex Tape!

     It had been nearly 12 hours since we publicly roasted a politician, so I guess we were due.  But this one has the look of one that will be around for awhile.  We have learned in recent days that John Edwards is a pig.  His wife, Elizabeth, is fighting cancer, and he’s out pulling a Tiger Woods with some hag.  He may not have been as frequent, (that we know of… the story is still young) but like Tiger Woods, he appears to have utilized a bit of his video shooting skills to record some of he and Rielle Hunter’s ‘meetings’.

     Unlike many of the Hollywood sex tape rumors that tend to be fictitious, this one appears to have a basis in fact.  A court order has been issued on behalf of Rielle Hunter demanding that Andrew Young, a former aide of John Edwards, return the sex tape which she says belongs to her.

     Why do we pretend to be so indignant?  He loved Bill Clinton, and he was bagging fat girls in the damn oval office.  We like our advertising on the verge of pornography (trust me, if people didn’t like it, it wouldn’t be on.)  We aren’t exactly big on morals ’round these parts’. 

     So let’s say he’s a piece of garbage and move on.  Not many future political openings for him, and he will eventually fade away.  Let’s not give John Edwards or Rielle Hunter, their little affair, or their sex tape any more attention than we have to.  No need for this particular 15 minutes to be dragged out any longer than that.  A sex tape isn’t even a big story now; everyone’s got one.  Hell, Bill Clinton probably has a collection.  And Elizabeth Edwards ought to get a bit of piece.  Let it go.  Quietly, if we can.
