John F. Kennedy’s Importance
Short paper on his importance.
Though Kennedy was only in office for a little over 1000 days, he accomplished many things. Kennedy improved Social Security benefits, raised minimum wage, and created the Peace Corps. During his presidency, there was a “Space Race” between Russia and the U.S. in which Kennedy had planned to reach the moon by the end of the 60’s. Though Kennedy was not alive to see humans land on the moon, his plan was accomplished in 1969. John F. Kennedy also introduced acts and bills that would help to end racism. He first introduced a bill that would later be known as the Civil Rights Act of 1964. John F. Kennedy made a positive impact on the future of the United States in only 3 years.
