Losing Your Credibility

How to prevent the loss of your Credibility.

A friend of mine has become a die-hard supporter of a particular political party.  Whenever his ‘Masters’ concoct a story that no one with the brains of Forest Gump would believe, he is promulgating it as creed.

Although he’s generally quite intelligent, since he has given  his brain to the Party he has lost all credibility. Not just in political matters,  in just about everything.

If he says the price of bread has gone up by 10c, there isn’t a person in his ambit that wouldn’t automatically disbelieve, and need to prove.

He has become comic relief; for every time there’s another cock-up in his Party the first thing everyone says is; “I can’t wait to see how — twists the facts.”

It doesn’t have to be politics.  It can be religion, science, anything where the brain locks and absolutely no other input is allowed.

Hence in the diplomatic core where one is zombied to accept this country as ‘evil’ everything it does has to be discredited.   Too much ‘discredit’ and nothing said by that diplomat and the country he represents is believed.

CNN has no credibility outside of America.  It is the American version of al-jaazera hence, one takes reports from both and sifts them, neither being held as superior to the other.

As soon as one finds themselves vehemently defending or attack another position an alarm should go off.  For most people, it doesn’t.  They bleat their position unaware that they have sacrificed their credibility by revealing their bias.

As my friend, nothing he says holds credence, no matter the topic, as his mindless support of his Party has destroyed any sense that his judgements are sound.

Once credibility is gone, it is very difficult to get back.
