National Security and The Economy. We are Watching Republicans

At the end of George W. Bush second term as president there were two very serious issues. These two issues were national security and the economy. This condition does not imply that Bush failed in these areas.

Mr. Bush was excellent in his presidential career. Politics is a fickle business. There was not a shortage of petty critics during George W. Bush’s presidency.

What we know is that Mr. Barack Hussein Obama ran his campaign on change. Obama said that America need to step away from the military and cowboy attitude of Bush.

Many of us remember Obama touring the world apologizing for America. We also remember his troubling statements about business and business people. Do not get me wrong I do believe that many business people lack morality and ethics. However, the free enterprise system has served America well.

Obama has come to learn that. He and his liberal cohorts in congress thought they had a clear mandate to turn America in to a government entitlement socialist state.

Many conservatives corrected that perception on November 2nd 2010. Republicans took over the House of Representatives and gained seats in the Senate.

However, the conversation is about how democrats are still in charge. Maybe they are still in charge. The agenda driven liberal media still works in partnership with the democrat liberals in promoting their socialist agenda.

I hope, however, that all those conservatives who got involved do not walk off in to the sunset. We still have to provide for National Defense and build the American economy.

The perceptions and actions of other nations should not be our concern. We have to be dedicated to sound and tested principals that provide for national security. These are the principals of the best trained professionals using the best technology.

Republicans, you have the responsibility of funding all departments associated with national defense. Looking for fraud and waste is good. I demand this of all public servants. However, let us not play politics with the safety and security of the American people.

In addition, republicans need to stop the interference in the free market system as long as participants are behaving in a moral and ethical manner. When people commit crimes, prosecute them to fullest extent of the law. Stop billing the American people for a federal government that can only regulate.

Republicans, we are still watching. Politicians like Scott Brown, us true conservatives, have washed our hands of them. We will not tolerate betrayal. We will not support an Abortionist for the sake of a convenience.

Moreover, I think the national conversation needs to return to the value of the personal responsibility of citizens who make a positive contribution to the American society.

I know people in America are suffering. Their troubles trouble me. However, there is something therapeutic about a job.

In closing let me say, I expect the global condition to get worse. There will be wars and rumors of wars. We, however, can neither join nor participate in the madness.
