For my part, I am inclined to show my full support to this group because they seem to represent something about the universal values of human rights and democracy.

Is it true that we are now in a state of emergency that corruption in Thailand, ceases to exist today?  Of course not, and indeed, some justify the actions of the coup without bloodshed, as it were, to say that violence was avoided.  Maybe, but democracy has been canceled.  Sometimes, violence is a necessary product of democracy.

As ugly as can be, people should have the right to be violent, and to protest and defend what they believe in democracy can not expect to be peaceful and Edenic at any time.  I think we learned a lot from the past.

The fact is that the coup leaders have the ability within their power to change the current climate as they wish.  If people had to stand, it can force a situation where elections could be necessary.

I do not think that my speaking out against the coup that I am in favor of Thaksin.  This is simply not true.  Some people seem to feel that the only options are “Thaksin or tanks.”  When will be the case?  I understand that Mr Thaksin was highly corrupt, gangster man, he has earned many of his 16 million voters effectively.  He has acted unethically, but let me ask again, is free of Thailand, Thaksin is now free of corruption?  Not at all.
