Oregon Congress to Leave After Sex Allegations
Embattled U.S. Rep. David Wu, who resigned after the House of Representatives accused of making unwanted sexual towards her daughter’s fundraiser, announced on Tuesday.
In a statement released by his office, seven-term Democrat from Oregon, said he would resign once the current confrontation between Congress and the White House increased the ceiling of U.S. debt is resolved.
“I can not run the way I want my family to serve in Congress and fight for these very serious allegations,” said Wu. “Prosperity is my children come first.”
Friday, reported the newspaper The Oregonian of Portland that the daughter of one of the fundraisers Wu accused of unwanted sexual advances in May. Referring to anonymous sources from within the office of Congress, told the Oregonian woman, who declined to name, left a voice message at the headquarters of Portland Wu progress aggressive.
According to the magazine, the woman was 18 when the alleged incident took place in November, and has never been reported to the police.

Oregonian reported that campaign aides had faced on his erratic behavior, and medication during his 2010 reelection.
“I fully recognize that I could deal with these difficult circumstances better and I remain focused on being a good father to my children and a strong representative of the population of Oregon,” he said then.
Wu Portland-area district is heavily Democratic, and won races in each of its double-digit margins.
