Perhaps I overestimate the America populous.  Perhaps I fail to understand the complexities of America politics.  After all, America  voted in a film star to the post of president.  They voted in the Terminator to California, despite the fact that he  quoted from his films widely in his campaign, and described some people as ‘economic girley men’. 

But really, Sarah Palin?  I mean, its not just for concern for the international community, and world in general that I worry about the election of a someone who mainly deals the cryo-hydrodynamics (with a shovel).

Worse than that, worse that I think she has little or no experience.  Worse than the fact she would have little ability, or positive thinking to bring to the role.  More than that, I worry about democracy.  Basically, if the republican party picks Sarah Palin, they will loose.  It is in fact a mathematical certainly.  There is no way any moderate, or left winger will vote for her.  Every right winger and fire righter will.  Basically resulting in her loss.  There is no way round it, she simply has no means to win.  This lack of competition really would result in a weakening of American democracy.  Representative democracy is, at its most limited level, the ability of the electorate to threaten the removal of the incumbent,  thus limiting their power.  Such a weak threat to Obama can only serve to undermine that key principle.
