Perry and Romney Not Necesasrly The Best Bet on The Electoral College Vote

In this article I talk about integrity of Rick Perry and Mitt Romney, congressional leaders- who are bought and paid for, and the awakenning citizen.

This question has to be asked. Let us say that Mr. Romney wins the US presidency but the congress becomes democrat. Will Mr. Romney do what he did in his state and do what the democrats want.

The reality is that the US president, who ever that is , has to find a way to get the US congress to support his initiatives. Mr. Romney was not able to get the democrat congress in his state to support his initiatives. I live in Texas. There have been political wars involving the governor’s office and Texas congress. One of this wars left public education unfunded.

Therefore, in their ability to work with the US congress to implement public policy that will put America on the road to success I give Romney and Perry very low scores. The evidence is there that both men struggled to work with their states congresses to do the work of the people.

Sometimes state leaders do not have the strength to use the Bully Pulpit. This is happening to Obama today. He has lost so much respect because of his lies and incompetence that the people will not support his initiatives.

George W. Bush did not have the support of Republicans in congress. These Republicans were constantly threatening to walk away from the wars if Bush did not support their measures.

That is a political reality. Every US congress person go to his office by relying on special interest. If these politicians do not return the favors to these special interest groups, they will out of office.

Therefore, all this rhetoric about caring about Americans is just rhetoric. Whoever wins the US presidency in 2012 is going to have to work with congressional representatives who won’t betray their financial backers.

I know this is sad. However, this is how the real world works. Well, this how the real world works now.

The mistake conservative talking heads like Limbaugh and Ingraham, if they are to be believed, are making is that they have not contemplated the amount of people fed up with politics as usual and ready to effect change.

What needs to happen is what is right. In this world there is what is right and what is correct. Romney may of being correct to go along to get along with his state’s congress. However, what is right is for people of unquestionable integrity to cut spending, reduce taxes, and remove unnecessary regulations.

On the issue of integrity Romney and Perry also rate very low. I have heard Romney say that some of his healthcare plan was wrong. Now he says his state’s congress made him do it. Mr. Perry wanted to force teen girls to get vaccinated against cervical cancer when the only company that makes the vaccine is a company whose lobbyist is an ex-Perry employee.

I do not get it. What is the Republican power center and conservative talking heads obsession with these two men.? Both were liberal in the past and are now claiming to be conservative.

Many Americans are clamoring for a change in politics as usual. This political season may when Americans regain their government, which is suppose to be a “government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

My last point is that pandering lacks honor. I believe we want people to reach our standards of personal responsibility, self reliance, and respect and love for country. How will we accomplish this by stooping to their level?

I do not fly the Hispanic flag. I do not salute the Hispanic flag. No one should get “special group status”. We are all human beings. We should all maintain the same high standards.

I suspect people have harmed themselves in life with a bad attitude. A lot of what I see reported as problems in the Afro-American and Hispanic cultures I attribute to the bad attitudes of seeing everything in the negative and wanting everyone else to suffer the consequences of their poor choices.
