President Barack Obama Will Go Down in History: But for What?

It has only been a couple month since President Obama has taken the reins from George Bush and already his plate is over flowing. Did he inherit a mess that he accepts as his responsibility although many could give President Obama a pass for that which he had no say in before.

The facts will support just what he has gotten done and also that which he is sticking his neck out about as far as political leaders can. He came through on raising food stamps which will definitely help the millions who have lost their jobs and struggling to make ends meet. Many of the Americans on food stamps had jobs pulled from under their feet because of downsizing and companies going bankrupt. You can not blame people in that type of environment because they certainly never expected to be in their financial quagmire!

Closing down the prisons which house the detainees is a separate issue and many contend that he is somewhat lax on the defense and protection of our country. Much different than how we all believe Senator John McCain to have run our government if he was elected president. Of course there would have been issues if McCain would have gotten in office too.

It will take a little more time to see if President Obamas defense spending will run it’s course and cutbacks on weapons, such as jets and other military weaponry will cause other nations intent on hurting the United States to be successful or will the mighty nation need to re evaluate the defense mechanisms that it had under the Bush era.

President Barama is set to bring home our soldiers from Iraq in a year or less and that should also help the Iraq people get back what was most likely taken from them under deception. Who truly has the right to invade another nation based on false reports of Weapons Of Mass Destruction? They were Never found!

Now we get to the biggest DECISION the President  may ever have to make and one that many consider extremely risky. According to some economic experts,  if this plan with inviting major companies to purchase TOXIC ASSETS from banks should fail it could bring the Economy to it’s knees making the GREAT DEPRESSION of 1929 seemingly tiny by comparison.

It is not everyday that you are asking companies to use their hard cash to invest in the unknown and as far as anyone can tell, you can not put a price or value on something like these Toxic Assets.

With a deficit over a Trillion Dollars and a distinct possibility of surpassing that staggering figure tenfold if this Presidents Stimulus Plan does not pan out. Millions are holding their breath!
