Presidential Hopefuls: To The Best be The Glory
Who would win the 2010 national elections?
One political event the whole Philippines is very much glued on is the national elections. The elections fever is undeniably rising. Political ads, campaign slogans, and political surveys and propagandas spice up the event. Even television networks move for clean elections with the launching of their programs to guard the results from unscrupulous individuals who plan to mar the dignity of the electoral process.
Why is it much anticipated? This is a derby of the best ever roster of presidential candidates namely Manny Villar, Joseph Estrada, Gilbert Teodoro, and Noynoy Aquino. Let’s get to their chances of beating the odds. I need not to overemphasize their credentials. Such can be obtained from other websites.
Manny Villar is known for his track record as a lawmaker, a very prolific one. His name had been dragged to controversies, yet he was proven innocent. He has this appeal to masses for having been one of them. His is a story of “from rugs to riches.”
Joseph Estrada was once a president of the Republic. He was proven guilty of plunder yet he promises a lot to offer to the Filipino people. He has a business to finish. He has “Erap Magic” being a movie actor and an idol of the masses.
Gilbert Teodoro is known for his untainted public service life and credentials. He is known as someone who is exceptionally brilliant. They say that he’ll change the face of politics in the Philippines.
Nonoy Aquino brings with him the legacy that his parents left the country. He’ll continue the fight that his parents have started. He has with him “The Cory and Ninoy Magic” and the “Charisma of Kris.”
These four presidentiables have their own unique selves to offer. In the first automated elections in the country, I just hope for an honest and clean elections. May the best man take over the presidency with glory as another Glory (Gloria Macapagal- Arroyo) paves the way.
