You are absolutely right. My thought is that presidents have good intentions, remember "read my lips" I don't think he lied, I think a shot of relity hit him when he looked at the real deal. I also think new presidents should initiate various committees immediately after being sworn in, to tackle each of the major problems you have outlined, and come up with solutions to those problems. Also someone should do a complete audit of the goverment to uncover the waste, overpaying, and outright fraud in the halls of goverment. Sorry to rant.
