Republican Debates – Avoiding the Issues – Obama to Profit

Who will be the victor? – Simple answer none of those involved.

There is one big problem with politics, the politicians – preferring to spend more time assassinating each other’s characters than doing what they are paid for.    It does not matter what country you care to name, that is what played out before and after every election.

In the present rounds of American caucuses, the in fighting in the Republican Party is reaching new heights or I should say new lows.    Character assassination has gone into the gutter, with affairs and misdemeanours being aired as being relevant.   The only relevant information the American public want to hear, is what they are going to do for America and its people.    They do not want to know who is banging who, and if their wives knew about it. – Which was the cause of one Republican candidate having to withdraw from the race, leaving a sorry bunch of miscreants jostling for pole position.

Republican Presidential contender Rick Santorum’s – Americans don’t want someone to manage Washington.    They want someone to fundamentally change Washington and create a vision of where America is going.    We need someone who will inspire us, create a vision for us, and motivate the American public to do its duty. –  Is truly a commendable and pretty speech, but he too is American and should be doing his duty, which he seems to be failing rather badly at the moment.     If he is the man for the job, then now is the time to prove it by getting on with the job of debating cleanly.   Telling the public what he intends to do, leaving out the promises he already knows that he will not and cannot keep.

The other main contenders in this debacle Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Ron Paul are no doubt sharpening their knives.   Ready to attack their opponents, by trying to muddy the playing field with irrelevances.     Romney alone has a vast campaign war chest and high profile endorsement, but falters with his conservative credentials, which keeps his percentages down to around 30 percent.   Not enough to win the nomination should this be reflected nationwide, which seems to be the case now.     November 6th will be when the country, will know if President Obama remains or a Republican takes over the mantle.

Political debates have never been my thing. Some of the ones here in Canada can be either a bit explosive or boring. There are too many personal attacks. I am not too sure what they are like here but they have put me off over here!
